Summary
The Lot Attendant arranges and maintains vehicle organization on dealership lot, cleans and details new and used vehicles
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Organizing and moving vehicles on the lot and front lawn.
Moving vehicles from various locations.
Ensures all vehicles are properly displayed (stickers, hang tags)
Maintaining vehicle inventory with duties such as jump starting, car washing, airing up tires.
Ability to work outside in ALL weather conditions (snow days, rain, summer heat etc.)
Ability to stand, bend and lift up to 50 pounds.
Facilitates and performs all detailing department duties including: Wash vehicle exterior, using cleaning solution, water, cloths and brushes, Vacuum interior of vehicles to remove dirt and debris, Clean upholstery, rugs and other surfaces using cleaning agents and devices, Apply touch up paint to vehicles when needed
Ensures proper usage, storage, and inventory of dealer license plates, cleaning supplies, etc.
Catalog and store keys
Performs other duties as directed by the Used Car Manager or other Managers.
Driving short and long distances.
Job Requirements
The lot attendant must be highly organized and energetic, have good writing and math skills and be outgoing and comfortable with people browsing the dealership?s lot Must have a valid driver?s license, good driving record and an ability to operate all types of vehicles, including manual transmission.
Requires the ability to bend, kneel, walk or stand for long periods of times in all types of weather, Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
May require extended hours, evenings and weekends to achieve goals.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent, General automotive knowledge. Valid driver?s license and a good driving record. Good judgment and the ability to use hand and power tools and other machinery safely. Must have ability to stand, bend and lift up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment
Will work outside in all weather conditions (snow days, rain, summer heat etc.). This is a physically demanding position. Will be exposed to noise vibration, dust, paint, cleaning solutions and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials.
