Job Description

Job purpose

This role is responsible for and manages purchasing, material requirements planning and supplier relationship management.

Main accountabilities and tasks

Manages the order fulfillment process including purchase order entry, purchase order administration, and expediting incoming product.
Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and purchase raw materials required for production.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable supply chains
Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate supply without overstocking, and manage reorder points.
Analyze market trends to make cost-effective purchasing decisions and manage budgets.
Executes the purchase order tracking process and ensures purchase orders are processed in accordance with the organization’s customer satisfaction and performance standards
Ensures adequate inventory levels are maintained to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost
Maintains close written and verbal communication with Corporate purchasing locations to ensure the local material requirements are met
Work closely and effectively communicate with operations, quality, customer service and the sales team, as well as other team members
Tracks changes in business needs and adjust order quantities to support business increases or decreases
Facilitates process improvement, streamlining of costs, to increase the quality of procurement, logistics, and materials management
Reviews weekly open purchase order report and updates and addresses discrepancies
Assist with inventory counts when applicable
Other operational tasks as deemed necessary

Qualifications : Qualifications

Work experience : 3-5 years of Buyer / Inventory Planning

Education : Bachelor’s degree or commensurate years’ experience

Other :

Excellent and demonstrated organizational skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in orders and documentation.

Outgoing self-starter with a positive attitude who enjoys a small business environment

Team player with focus on building organizational relationships to achieve corporate goals

SAP, ERP experience preferred but not required

Efficient in MS Office Products

Strong TEAM and LEAD mentality required
