Responsibilities and Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Following daily production schedules and achieving specified goals.
- Ensuring that products conform to specifications.
- Preventing and minimizing rework and/or inedible products.
- Operating equipment such as taping machines, shrink wrap machines, pallet jacks, and trash and recycling compactors.
- Performing standard operating procedures for production and inspection functions as directed.
- Completing all necessary technical and soft skills training as directed.
- Returning from breaks in a timely manner and notifying supervisors before leaving the department.
- Accurately completing all necessary paperwork as directed.
- Attending all department and company scheduled meetings.
- Working scheduled shifts as assigned.
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area.
- Reporting all accidents and deficiencies to supervisors immediately.
- Ensuring safety devices are installed and working properly.
- Continuously improving the quality of all support activities.
- Performing all required duties within OSHA and company safety standards.
- Following set company and OSHA safety rules, regulations, and guidelines at all times.
- Following GMPs, HACCP training, and company pre-requisite programs, SOP's, and SSOP's.
- Performing other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
- Ensuring products are correctly labeled and identified for proper disposition.
- Keeping records of products used to follow FIFO.
