We believe in Extraordinary.
At Jack Morton we create head-turning, stomach-dropping, mind-boggling, smile-inducing brand experiences for everyone. It's the future of marketing and there's nothing passive or predictable about it. We promise every day will be different than the previous one in a very good way.
We take care of each other, as much as we take care of business. We marvel in each other's uniqueness and revel in what each of us brings to the human potluck that is Jack.
So, if you want to help shape the future of an entire industry, welcome. If you feel work, and the people you work with, can be extraordinary, let's chat. We're Jack, and we can't wait to meet you.
That brings us to you.
You are a hands-on, digital-minded Associate Creative Director with a background in graphic design. You have a strong POV and are accountable for generating big, brave, bold creative ideas and making these ideas come to life (about 25% concepting, 75% execution). This is a research-driven account, and you'll be responsible for digesting and distilling key concepts via different forms of content and conversations with subject matter experts. You'll report directly to the VP, Group Creative Director of the Boston office.
What you'll be doing
- Brand Expert: Skilled at mastering complex technical topics for diverse B2B audiences, pushing creative design boundaries, and connecting with unique audiences in unexpected ways.
- Digital-first Mindset: Proficient in designing digital assets (web banners, websites, social media, etc.) and spaces alongside web design and UX/strategy, while overseeing junior and freelance staff to ensure brand consistency and quality.
- Insight-Driven & Measurable: Be an expert in the strategy as outlined in the brief — able to provide strategic rationale for creative choices to give the work meaning and produce measurable results.
- Generating big creative ideas to address clients' business needs that are rooted in fresh brand, product, and audience insights.
- From draft to delivery, you are hands-on designing and executing big ideas.
- Participating in the development of the creative brief and partnering with the strategy team to ensure the work delivers on the brief.
- Presenting your ideas in a compelling way to internal audiences and clients.
- Helping to build the agency's reputation, profile and relationships with talent and clients.
- Collaborating across the office and worldwide agency's community of creative, strategy, growth, and operations colleagues to share ideas, resources, and best practices.
- Managing, mentoring, coaching junior creatives and fiercely protecting the agency culture that makes Jack a great place to work.
- Create and maintain an environment of equal employment opportunity, diversity, and competitive advantage in support of the company's diversity and inclusion strategic plan
If you can do all that, you have what it takes. It might help if…
- 5 years of overall creative experience preferably at a leading brand or ideas-driven agency
- A strong creative pedigree with a track record of delivering effective and outstanding creative work with a background in graphic design
- Extremely Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint; Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator
- Ample hands-on work experience (you are a "do-er" – art director and designer) coupled with some management experience (you can lead a team – formally or informally)
- Engaging presentation skills and a track record of successfully selling and executing strategic creative ideas
- An unwavering curiosity for creative and cultural innovation
- An unmatched passion and energy for your craft, Jack Morton, and brand experience
