PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:

Our bakery department is responsible for providing guests with fresh, high quality products and friendly service. A Sweets Baker/ Baker is required to ensure quality product to be produced for the business needs daily. For a faster application process please also apply at jacksfreshmarket.com/apply.

Mondays-Fridays and every other weekend.

Baker hours: 12am- 8:30am

Sweets Baker hours: 12am- 8:30 am or 4am-1230pm

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides excellent services to all guests
• Assists guests with finding items they are looking for on and off the sales floor
• Takes and executes special orders and requests
• Answers the telephone and assists guests using proper phone etiquette
• Follows recipes and production lists explicitly
• Being able to use mixers, ovens, and proofer.
• Being able to follow recipe and predict need of customer base.
• Pays attention to dates and freshness of every product
• Ensures high quality standards are met in all items produced
• Adheres to all Health Department guidelines and proper sanitation practices
• Organizes and cleans all pans, dishes, and other tools used.
• Keeps cooler, freezer, and dry storage areas clean and organized, keeping surfaces sanitized
• Watches over stock levels on the sales floor, deciding what potentially needs to be made to ensure proper coverage for the evening
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with guests and all personnel Knowledge of the retail food business, thorough knowledge of perishable department operations, and must be able to make timely and effective decisions

• Physical demands and work environment: Lifting 25-50 pounds on a frequent basis

• 8 hour shift
• Holidays
• Monday to Friday
• Morning shift
• Overnight shift
• Rotating weekends
• Weekends as needed

Ability to Relocate:

• Menominee, MI 49858: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)
