What You Get To Do
- Acts as a liaison between Agents and Insurance Carriers
- Processes New Agents
- Reviews/scrubs contracting paperwork received from agencies for completeness
- Creates and maintains agent records as needed
- Follows-up, via phone and/or email as necessary, with agency staff for any outstanding items: missing signatures, letters of explanation for any “yes” answers to background questions, missing forms, etc.
- Research and verify licenses
- Creates/distributes Termination of Appointment letters as necessary
- Prepares/processes electronic contracts from vendor/carrier website(s)
- Provide support to agency staff as it pertains to getting agents contracted with carriers
- Processes agent transfers from agency to agency ensuring that appointments and commissions are re-assigned correctly and promptly
- Demonstrates complete understanding of how to process agent contracting applications for Medicare Products, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, LTC and Annuities
- Monitors contracting inbox and distributes appropriately
- Responds to phone calls and emails continuously throughout the day
- Performs other duties as required

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred
- 1 year industry experience preferred
Physical Job Requirements & Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position for up to eight hours in an office environment. The employee occasionally is required to move to access people or workspaces. Involves frequent telephone contact with agents and employees. Interaction with others is constant and may be interruptive or involve dealing with angry or upset people.
The employee may occasionally lift files, paper, or office equipment weighing up to 35 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, calculator, telephone, copier, and other such office equipment as necessary. Vision must be correctable to 20/30 and hearing must be in the normal range for telephone contacts. It is necessary to view and type on computer screens for long periods and the ability to optimally communicate is required.
