What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Technician (Compressed Air) position at Jack Tyler Engineering, Inc.?
Founded in Little Rock, Arkansas, in 1963 by Jack L. Tyler, P.E., Jack Tyler Engineering, Inc exists to serve its customers by providing engineered technical solutions to customers' problems. Jack Tyler Engineering was founded on core family values, and those same values drive every part of our organization today. Now, 60 years later and in the hands of our 3rd generation of family leadership, we are growing and expanding our services in both task and territory.
Jack Tyler Engineering exists to serve two main purposes:
- We sell and service the equipment that is required to provide clean water to the communities where we live and work. Everyone deserves clean water, and we strive to make sure there is an ample supply. Our equipment collects, treats, and distributes water and wastewater.
- We sell and service the rotating equipment that is required to keep manufacturing plants up and running in Arkansas and surrounding states. When plants close due to unplanned maintenance and downtime, it can cripple an organization and a community.
The specific equipment that we sell and service from our three Arkansas locations includes pumps and pump systems, compressed air systems, valves, actuators, mechanical seals, controls, water treatment equipment, wastewater treatment equipment, and water storage tanks.
We are looking for a Field Compressed Air Technician for the Northwest Arkansas area. This person will play a critical role in our operations by maintaining and repairing air compressors and their related components. If you are selected for this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting problems, replacing parts, carrying out scheduled maintenance, and ensuring air compressors are operating efficiently and safely. Ensuring the air compressors remain in compliance with all applicable safety regulations is critical.

- Servanthood – We seek to understand our Customer’s needs and we seek to solve their problem.
- Technical Expertise – We strive to be experts on the equipment we sell, and service and we seek to operate with excellence.
- Bring Joy – We seek to create a positive and joyful experience that blesses our team members and customers.
