At Jackie's Place, we pride ourselves on delivering an exceptional dining experience with every meal served. We're looking for a dedicated and hard-working Busser & Facilities Team Member to join our team and help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for our guests.
Position Overview:
As a Busser & Facilities Team Member, you will be responsible for supporting the front-of-house staff and ensuring that the restaurant remains clean, organized, and safe for guests. You will be essential to creating an atmosphere that supports excellent customer service and enhances the dining experience.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Table Setting & Bussing:
- Clear and reset tables efficiently after each guest leaves.
- Ensure that tables are clean, neat, and properly set before the next guests are seated.
- Assist servers in maintaining the flow of service by providing necessary support during busy periods.
Guest Area Maintenance:
- Sweep, mop, and wipe down the floors in dining and common areas to maintain cleanliness throughout shifts.
- Ensure all surfaces (walls, windows, doors, etc.) are kept free of dirt and smudges.
- Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, refilling supplies as needed and ensuring hygiene standards are upheld.
Stocking & Restocking:
- Replenish drink stations, condiments, and other supplies as needed.
- Assist in the stocking of restaurant supplies in storage areas, ensuring they are organized and easy to access.
- Help with the setup and breakdown of special events and catering functions if required.
Waste Management:
- Dispose of trash, recyclables, and compostable items in designated bins.
- Ensure the restaurant's waste management procedures are followed throughout the shift.
Health & Safety Compliance:
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed.
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the restaurant and contribute to the team’s health and safety efforts.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Prior experience as a busser or in a facilities-related role is a plus, but not required. Training will be provided.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and move quickly between tasks.
- Attention to Detail: Must have an eye for cleanliness and organization.
- Team Player: A positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Availability: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
