Jackie's Place in San Jose, CA is looking for one line cook to join our 42 person strong team. We are located on 840 N 1 St St. Our ideal candidate is attentive, motivated, and hard-working.
This potion is being afford for someone that is looking for Full time hours and are available to work Nights and Weekends.
Responsibilities
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Lead a team by modeling performance standards, setting clear expectations, and consistently holding others accountable
- Provide clear, accurate, complete, and timely communication
- Work with management and other teams to maintain inventory of food and restaurant supplies
Qualifications
- Able to meet all scheduling commitments
- High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED
- Minimum of 6 months related experience
- Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lb
- You maintain composure, take action, are resourceful, and solutions-minded in unpredictable situations such as weather, diverse needs of guests, or incidents on property
- Able to stand and move for long periods of time
- Able to anticipate needs of others in the kitchen and proactively work to meet those needs
- Strong attention to detail
