Jacklin Steel Supply Co., an employee owned company, is looking for a CDL-A route driver in the Escanaba, Michigan area. This is a full-time position driving five nights a week, typically Monday through Friday. Position requires driving a semi-tractor and empty flat-bed trailer from Escanaba to Traverse City, Michigan, dropping empty trailer and hooking up to a loaded flat-bed trailer and returning to Escanaba, three nights a week (Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday). Driving semi-tractor and empty flat-bed trailer from Escanaba to Engadine, Michigan, dropping empty trailer and hooking up to a loaded flat-bed trailer, then delivering loaded trailer to Iron River, Michigan, swapping for an empty trailer, and returning to Escanaba, two nights a week (Monday and Wednesday). Trailer will be loaded with stock structural steel and miscellaneous fabricated steel items. Occasionally an additional, or alternate, day may be required due to weather, mechanical issues, holidays, etc. Driver must be experienced with hauling chained and tarped loads. A minimum of 2 years driving experience is preferred.
