Early Head Start (EHS) Support Teacher
Location: Missouri Valley Community Action Agency (MVCAA)
Classification: Non-Exempt, Full-Time (40 hours/week, 52 weeks/year)

Missouri Valley Community Action Agency (MVCAA) is looking for a caring and dedicated Early Head Start (EHS) Support Teacher to join our team! In this role, you’ll provide a nurturing learning environment for children from birth to three years old, helping them grow socially, emotionally, and physically. What You’ll Do
✔ Assist in creating a safe, clean, and engaging classroom environment
✔ Support early childhood development through play, structured activities, and learning centers
✔ Promote early language, literacy, and social-emotional development
✔ Maintain supervision and ensure child safety at all times
✔ Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, including fire and emergency procedures
✔ Observe and document child progress through assessments and records
✔ Build strong relationships with families, staff, and community partners
✔ Participate in ongoing training and professional development
What We’re Looking For
✅ Required: High School Diploma or GED
✅ Preferred: CDA credential (or willingness to obtain within 2 years) or higher education in early childhood development
✅ Ability to lift and keep up with young children, including sitting on the floor or in child-sized chairs
✅ Strong communication and organizational skills
✅ Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
✅ Reliable attendance and commitment to teamwork
