Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness, sanitation and organization in kitchen and related areas to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for food preparation and service.
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils and other kitchen equipment.
- Stock and restock supplies such as food, utensils and cleaning products.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
- Keep track of inventory and supplies.
- Remove trash and recycling from the kitchen and dispose of it properly.
- Assist with basic food preparation and plating.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is in good working condition.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to management.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience working as a kitchen steward or similar position preferred.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong time management skills.
- Knowledge of proper sanitation and food safety procedures.
- Knowledge of inventory management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Organized and efficient.
