Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Recognize and acknowledge guests as soon as possible (within one minute of their arrival, unless waiting on another table or picking up food).
- Take food and beverage orders from guests.
- Promptly and accurately relay food and beverage orders to Sports Bar bartenders and kitchen staff as appropriate.
- Engage in suggestive sales as appropriate.
- Assume responsibility for assigned section for entirety of shift.
- Utilize proper tray service (i.e. trays balanced on change hand, carried above shoulder level and used with tray jack).
- Maintain familiarity with service procedures, menus and seating chart.
- Accurately and efficiently accept payment and make change during transactions.
- Utilize proper cash handling and control procedures.
- Operate POS terminal.
- Perform housekeeping duties in dining room and service areas, ensuring that all areas are clean and sanitized.
- Engage in light food preparation as needed.
- Perform daily side work as needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience working with the public required.
- Previous wait staff experience strongly preferred.
