Jackpot Veterinary Center is looking for a dependable and hardworking Lead Veterinary Technician , with management experience to join our growing Small Animal team! This schedule for this position is Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday with rotating weekends.
We are a private, veterinarian owned and operated hospital with a focus on quality care for our patients and quality of life for our staff. We are a fast-paced, progressive animal hospital with both a Large and Small animal clinic on our beautiful property located in northwest Tucson.
Our modern practice has been outfitted with all the latest technology, including: digital radiography, digital dental radiography, in-house Idexx CBC/Chem analyzers, ultrasound, class IV laser, tonopen, Behr huggers, and more! We are able to provide excellent care and services for our patients and are supported by an exceptional team of veterinarians, certified technicians, assistants, and receptionists. The ideal candidate will have exceptional technical skills, including: monitoring anesthesia, monitoring patients recovering from anesthesia, dental cleanings with radiographs, surgery prep, in-house diagnostics, placing catheters, drawing blood, administering medications and vaccinations, etc.
Additional Lead Responsibilities Include:
- Providing leadership and guidance to veterinary technicians including training and mentoring.
- Overseeing implementation of medical protocols and procedures ensuring compliance with veterinary standards and regulations.
- Assisting Veterinarians with complex medical procedures, surgeries, and emergency cases.
- Serving as a liaison between veterinary staff, management, and other departments, facilitating communication and teamwork.
- Ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of the clinic, including patient areas, treatment rooms, and surgical suites.
- Maintaining accurate medical records and documentation, including patient histories, treatment plans, and surgical logs.
- Monitoring and maintaining equipment and instruments, coordinating repairs and maintenance as needed
- Assisting with client communication and education, including explaining treatment plans, discussing preventive care, and addressing client concerns.
- Staying updated on advancements in veterinary medicine and technology, participating in continuing education and training programs.
- Upholding the highest standards of patient care, professionalism, and ethical conduct.

- CVT strongly preferred
- Impromed experience a plus
