Internal Medicine Physician Locums Job in Massachusetts Hospital Setting
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Internal Medicine Physician to join our fast-paced, collaborative family medicine practice. This is a unique opportunity to work with a diverse and supportive team in a well-established practice serving a broad patient base, including adults, children, and pregnant women.
The practice is part of a multi-disciplinary team consisting of 9 physicians, 1 PA, and 3 NPs. We have no new patient intake, as all patients are pre-established within the system.
Key Features:
- Fast-paced environment with a mix of adult and pediatric patients
- Patient load: Typically 20 patients scheduled, with an average of 16 seen per day
- Flexibility to tailor patient volume based on experience
- No on-call duties
- Saturday shifts: Physicians rotate through 4-hour Saturday shifts (roughly every 7th-8th Saturday) preferred but not mandatory
Qualifications:
- MD/DO with Board Certification in Internal Medicine
- Experience in family medicine, including adult, pediatric, and obstetrics care
- Ability to manage a busy, high-volume practice
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work well within a collaborative team environment
