A car detailer will spend most of their days interacting with clients and cleaning cars or different vehicles. They might also work with other car detailers, so they should be good at teamwork.
Successful candidate for a car detailer or auto detailer position should have experience cleaning a car’s exterior and interior. They should have customer service experience and communicate well with clients from all walks of life. A car detailer should also have experience working with cleaning products and should be able to keep a safe work environment. Having experience in giving accurate cost estimates is also an asset.
A car detailer or auto detailer does not need any formal education but should have the ability to learn on the job. - Applying protective treatments to minimize future damage
- Adhering to company guidelines, checklists, processes and quality standards
- Monitoring supply inventory and ordering tools and cleaning supplies as necessary
- Transporting cars between locations and parking vehicles in safe places
