The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) plays a vital role in ensuring the highest quality patient care at our facility. This position is responsible for facilitating and implementing performance improvement, continuous quality improvement, and quality assurance programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and implement performance improvement, continuous quality improvement, and quality assurance programs
- Monitor and oversee Infection Control program for the facility
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and LifeCare standards
- Analyze incident reports to identify problem areas and develop plans of correction
- Review internal Quality Indicator Reports with the Standards of Care Committee
Education and Experience:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
- Current RN licensure in good standing throughout employment
- Two years of geriatric nursing experience preferred, preferably in post-acute care
Job Requirements:
- Maintain liaison with patients, families, and support departments
- Expert knowledge in field of practice
- Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
- Implement and interpret departmental programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
Essential Functions:
- Assist the DON in planning, developing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the Nursing Services department
- Interview, select, hire, train, evaluate, and supervise nursing staff
- Provide direct nursing care as necessary
Requirements:
- Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours
- Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
