As our Project Superintendent, you'll lead field operations to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and with exceptional quality. Every day, we'll count on you to oversee schedules, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure all work meets safety and quality standards. You'll work closely with the Project Manager to align resources, resolve challenges, and keep the project moving forward. You must be able to twist, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, and climb stairs and ladders occasionally, with the ability to walk on uneven ground while navigating active construction sites. Depth perception is required to avoid excavations and other hazards, and the ability to hear warning sounds such as horns and sirens from moving equipment is essential for safety. The role involves standing for extended periods, up to seven hours of an eight-hour shift, and the occasional lifting of items weighing up to 25 pounds.
How You'll Drive Results
- Safety Leadership: Champion the company's Safety & Health program by consistently enforcing safety protocols, identifying risks, and maintaining compliance with all Federal, State, and City regulations. Achieve a zero-incident record on job sites.
- Schedule Management: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules in collaboration with the Project Manager. Coordinate labor, materials, and subcontractors to execute the schedule effectively using Critical Path Method (CPM) sequencing.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee all aspects of Quality Control, ensuring materials and workmanship consistently meet or exceed project specifications. Resolve non-compliant work issues promptly and maintain accurate documentation.
- Team Collaboration: Build and nurture strong relationships with Owners, Architects, Subcontractors, and internal teams. Facilitate weekly subcontractor meetings, preconstruction planning sessions, and Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) meetings to ensure alignment and progress.
- Resource Optimization: Manage equipment, tools, and resources to meet project demands. Partner with the Project Manager to monitor budgets, control costs, and evaluate staffing needs. Ensure timely maintenance and inventory of tools and equipment.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure seamless execution of field operations by maintaining an organized and efficient job site, aligning resources to schedules, and upholding quality and safety standards. Continuously improve processes to optimize project timelines, enhance team performance, and deliver successful outcomes within budget.
- Documentation and Reporting: Use Procore, Bluebeam, and scheduling tools such as Phoenix Project Manager or MS Projects to track daily activities, document progress, and communicate updates with stakeholders. Ensure accuracy in payroll, budgets, and project cost reporting.
- Project Completion: Successfully lead the closeout process, including punch list resolution and final documentation. Collaborate with the project team to ensure all deliverables meet client expectations and company standards.
