Construction Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting construction materials, equipment and supplies to and from various construction sites safely and efficiently to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations, often requiring the ability to assist with loading and unloading cargo at the site as needed This role requires experience with different types of vehicles, including dump trailers, tractor-trailers, and flatbeds. A strong commitment to safety and adherence to traffic regulations is essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive various types of vehicles including dump trailers, tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and tankers.
• Ensure timely delivery of freight to designated locations while adhering to scheduled routes.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
• Load and unload freight using forklifts or other equipment as necessary.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations while on the road.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, complete necessary paperwork.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Driver with a clean driving record.
• Familiarity with route driving and delivery processes.
• Experience operating heavy equipment is a plus.
• Knowledge of freight handling procedures and regulations.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
