What are the responsibilities and job description for the Young Farmer Teacher position at Jackson County GA School District?
- Jackson County Schools is seeking professionally qualified individual to teach Agriculture and work with our Young Farmer and FFA programs.
- Develop and supervise agricultural experiences, including adult and classroom instruction, industry and community engagement, and Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAE).
- Lead and coordinate Young Farmer Leadership, Community and Educational Programs alongside directing FFA activities, events, and related responsibilities.
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accreditated instituation
- Proven ability to manage a comprehensive agriculture progam
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Agriculture Education or related field
- Hold or be eligible to hold a GaPSC issued teaching certificate in Agriculture Education
- Three or more years prior teaching experience, preferrable at the high school level
- Experience in the Agriculture Mechanics program area
- 190 Day teaching calendar, plus additional extended year work days
- Annual Salary based on degree level and previous years of experience in similar roles
