Young Farmer Teacher

Job Summary:

• Jackson County Schools is seeking professionally qualified individual to teach Agriculture and work with our Young Farmer and FFA programs.
• Develop and supervise agricultural experiences, including adult and classroom instruction, industry and community engagement, and Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAE).
• Lead and coordinate Young Farmer Leadership, Community and Educational Programs alongside directing FFA activities, events, and related responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accreditated instituation
• Proven ability to manage a comprehensive agriculture progam

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Agriculture Education or related field
• Hold or be eligible to hold a GaPSC issued teaching certificate in Agriculture Education
• Three or more years prior teaching experience, preferrable at the high school level
• Experience in the Agriculture Mechanics program area

Employment Terms:

• 190 Day teaching calendar, plus additional extended year work days
• Annual Salary based on degree level and previous years of experience in similar roles
