What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN General Surgery Associates position at Jackson County Memorial Hospital?
Job Summary: Provides nursing care in the Satellite Clinic setting. Provides care that reflects initiative, flexibility and responsibility within the scope of practice for a LPN under the supervision of a Provider and Clinic LPN Supervisor. Communicates with providers about changes in patient's status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to change in patient conditions or response to treatment.
Professional Requirements:
- Meets dress code standards and appearance is neat and clean.
- Completes annual education requirements in Health Stream and Annual Skills Fair.
- Maintains regulatory requirements.
- Reports to work on time and as scheduled; completes work within designated time.
- Consistently completes and maintains assigned duties using department and hospital approved processes.
- Wears identification while on duty. Uses time card system correctly.
- Ensures confidentiality of patient's records.
- Communicates the mission, vision, and goals of the hospital.
- Communicate leave requests appropriately to supervisor.
Education/Regulatory Requirements & Experience:
- Must posses and maintain current LPN licensure in the State of Oklahoma.
- Current BLS Certification; must be obtained during the initial orientation if not current upon hire.
- Previous work history that demonstrates steady attendance and punctuality is required.
- Previous clinic experience preferred.
