Salary: $300.00/day
Job Duties:
- Leads meetings while listening to arguments presented by the Taxpayer/Taxpayer Representative.
- Hearing Officers will make a recommendation of value; if all parties agree and sign the form, the appeal is completed.
- The position is seasonal and runs during the months of June through December 2025. Most hearings are scheduled Monday thru Friday based on the number hearings and applicants' availability; if there is a taxpayer interested and a hearing officer and Assessment staff is available, Saturday hearings may be scheduled.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Candidate must be a licensed attorney-at-law, licensed broker, licensed realtor or state certified real estate appraisers.
- Must have knowledge and experience with commercial real property, residential real property, and/or personal property to perform specialized duties.
- Applicants must provide a copy of their active license and proof that all County taxes are current.
- Must submit to/pass pre-employment drug screen/background check.
