The position provides general operational support for the Parks and Recreation Department and performs duties at the Ralph J. Andrews Campground, Glenville, NC.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Disseminates information regarding the Park and Campground. Collects fees from campers.Maintains and develops records and reports.Performs general park maintenance, to include lawn maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, masonry and painting.Cleans and picks up trash daily at all the parks, concession stands, restrooms, and river access areas.Assists in setting up equipment for recreation department programs and special events.Enforces park regulations.Assists patrons of the Park as necessary.Performs other related job duties as assigned.Work Period: February – OctoberWork Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week. 1,000 maximum hours per year.

Knowledge of County and departmental policies and procedures.Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs.Skill in prioritizing and organizing work.Skill in oral and written communication.Ability to work independently.Ability to meet deadlines.Ability to assist employees and the general public.Ability to adhere to all established safety standards and ensure such standards are not violated.? Ability to operate a motor vehicle and various equipment required to perform work.
