What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Operating Room, PRN position at Jackson County Regional Health Center?
Purpose: Provides and directs safe, effective, and culturally-competent care for pediatric through aging adult patients with actual or potential medical health problems. Key accountabilities include assessments, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care using critical thinking and evidenced-based practice; adherence to the Professional Practice of Standards as defined by ANA; and active participation in performance improvement activities.
Employment Status: PRN (As Needed)
Working Hours: Varies 7:00a - 3:30p
Work Schedule Details: Monday - Friday
Qualifications Include: Iowa Nursing Licensure, BLS, ACLS, PALS, Dependent Adult & Child Mandatory Reporter of Iowa. Provides direct safe, effective, and culturally-competent patient care for all groups ages or patients requiring surgical procedures. Key accountabilities include critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, and patient care skills. Willing to learn pre-op teaching (phone calls to scheduled patients), assessment, circulating role, recovery room, discharge and follow up phone calls.
