JOB TITLE: Project Coordinator I/Utility Inspector
JOB STATUS: Non-Exempt Position
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK PERFORMED:
The Project Coordinator shall have a basic knowledge of civil (water and wastewater) infrastructure and construction to provide support and assistance for the Authority’s engineering staff. The Project Coordinator shall perform administrative and inspection tasks associated with Authority construction projects. These projects vary from installation of residential utility services to construction of large transmission infrastructure projects. This includes, but is not limited to project budget tracking, scheduling, quantity estimates, construction inspections, processing internal work orders, and significant interaction with internal and external customers. The position will require interaction with sponsor agencies (MSDEQ, MSDH, COE, etc.), co-workers, contractors, and project engineers. Electronic project data base management is expected. Other duties are as assigned.
DESIRABLE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma (or GED) is required and bachelor’s college degree in business or related field is recommended. Applicant should have a minimum of 4 years of experience with inspection of general construction infrastructure, of which 2 years of experience should be specific to water and/or wastewater construction. Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet management, and project management software programs is desired. Experience with construction surveying, jobsite layout, and computer aided drafting software is a plus.

2. Must be able to lift and carry up to 85 lbs.
3. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
4. Must be insurable on Authority's auto insurance policy.
5. Must be able to drive.
6. Must be able to work inside and outside.
7. Confined space and altitude work required.
8. Must maintain a residence which allows a reasonable response time.
9. Must have extensive working knowledge of water and wastewater infrastructure construction including traffic control and erosion control.
10. Must demonstrate ability to work well with other employees and public.
11. Must demonstrate leadership and organizational skills.
12. Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.23 - $28.85 per hour
