Overview
We are seeking a skilled Sandblaster to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces for finishing by using sandblasting techniques. This role requires attention to detail and a strong understanding of various materials and finishes. The Sandblaster will work on a variety of projects, including residential and commercial applications, ensuring high-quality results that meet industry standards.

Duties

• Operate sandblasting equipment to clean, smooth, or shape surfaces as required.
• Prepare surfaces by removing paint, rust, or other contaminants using appropriate techniques.
• Maintain and troubleshoot sandblasting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Interpret and follow schematics and project specifications to achieve desired outcomes.
• Collaborate with team members to execute projects efficiently and effectively.
• Apply knowledge of color theory and finishing techniques in residential painting and plastering tasks.
• Perform drywall installation and repair, including caulking and stucco applications as needed.
• Conduct basic math calculations for measurements and material estimates.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in sandblasting or related fields such as concrete finishing or residential painting is preferred.
• Strong understanding of surface preparation techniques and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately.
• Familiarity with plastering, drywall, caulking, stucco, and color theory is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to maintain equipment effectively.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
