Summary
The JHS Academic Center Coordinator will provide administrative and clerical support to the Jackson Health System (JHS) Academic Partnerships program within the Clinical Learning and Development Department that provides educational and consultative activities necessary to position JHS as a leader aligning with academic affiliates to grow and develop future clinical talent and provide extraordinary career opportunities. Function helps formulate management policies regarding worker conditions with regular access and analysis of confidential information that help formulate labor policies. The incumbent may attend management meetings and be involved directly or indirectly in the decision making process around management positions during negotiations process.

Responsibilities
- Supports the JHS Academic Center Manager and Specialist.
- Responds to a variety of telephone and written inquiries relating to employment opportunities.
- Ensures that invoicing and tuition payment processes are handled timely and effectively.
- Monitors student progress and processes academic paperwork related to program completion.
- Facilitates the connection between students with JHS Academic leaders in order to address their concerns.
- Connects students to resources and services across the organization in support of individual student success and in partnership with student success personnel.
- Assists in the processing, verification and or approval of academic paperwork and records; updates academic records, reviews external documents, certifies graduation, evaluates transfer work, and processes academic exceptions to curriculum requirements under the guidance of the JHS Academic Manager and/or Specialist.
- Coordinates and facilitates faculty requests for clinical placements.
- Oversees the collection of all immunizations, CPR certification, BCIs, agency orientations, and on-line orientations.
- Ensure agency contracts are up to date.
- Maintains all student documentation (health record).
- Assists with all access requests including EMR access and ID requests, and assists with troubleshooting access issues including password reset requests.
- Designs and maintains databases of clinical sites, student placements, and assigned faculty; produces and presents detailed reports.
- Establishes a good rapport and professional working relationships with all department personnel and Internal/external customers.
- Maintains appropriate interdepartmental communications.
- Responds to a variety of telephone and written inquiries relating to affiliating school opportunities.
- Identifies, establishes, and maintains contact with colleges and university representatives, for planning and rotational purposes.
- Maintains documentation of all program activity according to departmental guidelines.
- Develops and maintains effective working relationships with all hospital centers and department supervisors.
- Maintains accurate and comprehensive knowledge of PHT guidelines and policies and applies them appropriately in all job related activities Maintains strict confidentiality of personnel practices and other relevant personnel records/information.

- Performs all other related job duties as assigned.
