Summary
The Associate Director, Radiology Services is responsible for the overall operation of the Radiology Department, assuring maximum clinical competence, high efficiency and responsive patient care. This position is responsible for maintaining all regulatory standards and licenses (AHCA, CMS, ACR, JCAHO) and for maintaining a state of continual readiness for regulatory visits. Responsible for the selection, training and supervision of technical, clerical and all other support personnel in the Radiology Department.
Responsibilities
Communicate and meet with administration, medical staff and other departments to coordinate efforts, integrate, meet special needs and address problems and concerns. Monitor and communicates with contractors and vendors, resources utilization, verify invoices, acts to rectify problems when applicable. Organizes the functions of the departments though appropriate assignments, staffing and delegation of authority. Monitors and evaluates the activities of the staff, conduct performance evaluations and maintains departmental employee files. Ensures departments compliance with all regulatory agencies. Evaluates existing systems and prepare purchase requests, capital expenditures, RFPs and annual budget request. Monitors, documents and reports of departmental PI and trending reports and initiate corrective actions as needed. Develops, implements, reviews and revise departmental policies and procedures. Interviews and selection of technical and ancillary personnel. Counsel employees regarding performance, conduct, attendance or other matters related to work. Handle disciplinary actions. Role models behaviors of service excellence and CARE values (Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Expertise). Performs other related duties as assigned.
Experience
Generally requires 7 to 10 years of related experience. Management experience is required.
Education
Bachelor's degree in related field is required.
Skill
Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work accurately while meeting multiple deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form. Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with professional composure. Ability to understand and follow instructions.
