We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Bariatrics to lead our multi-disciplinary team and drive the growth of our bariatric service line.
Job Summary: The Director of Bariatrics will oversee the management of patient care, nursing, and operational components, as well as ensure quality assurance and compliance with accrediting bodies. The incumbent will develop and enhance the service line in terms of quality, volume, scope of services, and cost-effectiveness. This role involves close collaboration with hospital staff, administration, and the patient community to deliver educational programs and outreach events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic planning, policy formulation, and quality initiatives for the bariatric service line.
- Coordinate and communicate the execution of the multi-year business plan and objectives.
- Perform gap analysis and coordinate assessment measures to ensure high-quality services that meet community needs.
- Recommend improvements to facilities, including renovations, new equipment, and service expansion.
- Establish collaborative relationships with stakeholders to achieve service line goals.
- Focus on service line growth, patient care delivery systems, and operational efficiency.
- Monitor quality assurance, financial performance, and staffing to meet productivity goals.
- Recruit, train, and motivate key personnel for the service line.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, as well as Jackson Health System policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- 7 to 10 years of experience in service line quality/accrediting compliance or related fields.
- Management experience required.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required; Master's degree strongly preferred.
- Valid Florida RN license required; Advanced Nursing Administration certification preferred.
- Valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
