- Vacuums or sweeps, mops and wet washes floors daily.
- Cleans the assigned patient and non-patient care areas.
- Collects and transports trash, cleans and relines trash containers with plastic bags, in accordance with daily work schedule.
- Maintains responsibility for the following duties; - filling soap, paper towels and toilet paper dispensers. - emptying sharp boxes. - placing gowns in designated storage areas as needed. - defrosting and cleansing of assigned refrigerators on a bi-week schedule.
- Responsible for daily dusting of all counter tops and shelves inside/outside, also wiping of cabinets.
- Completes all cleaning of discharge patient units, as vacancies occur.
- Daily monitoring of the delivery of laundry for assigned units.
- Utilizes detergents, disinfectants, polishes, finishes, etc.in accordance with established guidelines. Cleaning for all isolates, warmers, IMED pumps, monitors, bill lights and any other related equipment used upon patients' discharge.
- Demonstrates behaviors of service excellence and CARE values (Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Expertise).
- Performs all other related job duties as assigned.
