Summary
The Pharmacy Automation Specialist main responsibilities include troubleshooting, analyzing, and repairing pharmacy software system (i.e. ScriptPro), applications, hardware, and computer computer-based technology, as well as any technological issues of the pharmacy staff. This person will consult with pharmacy teams to identify and recommend best practices. Implementing configuration, workflow, and other system enhancements.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment on-site and remotely by phone. Administer training and support to pharmacy staff when needed. Diagnose workflow issues and optimize system performance. Conduct technical analysis and review of system performance Research required information using available resources Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job Organize ideas and clearly communicate to management any software related issues Deliver service and support to end-users Interact with pharmacy customers to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns, and requests about services Build customer relationships through providing superior customer service Monitor and restore systems and backups Demonstrates behaviors of service excellence and CARE values (Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Expertise). Performs all other related job duties as assigned.
Experience
Generally requires 0 to 3 years of related experience.
Education
High school diploma is required.
Skill
Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work accurately while meeting multiple deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form. Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with critical thinking and professional composure. Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to exercise sound and independent judgment. Knowledge and skill in use of job appropriate technology and software applications.

Physical Requirements - Job function is sedentary in nature and requires sitting for extended periods of time. Function may require frequent standing or walking. Must be able to lift or carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
