Dietitian

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Dietitian to join our team at Jackson Healthcare Government Services (JHGS). This is a challenging opportunity for a professional to make a real impact in the field of nutrition and healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and organize work of considerable difficulty and responsibility under minimal supervision.
• Conduct nutrition assessment/evaluation, including nutrient intake, activity level, appetite, and other factors.
• Apply the basic principles of enteral and parenteral nutrition support.
• Develop and coordinate medical nutrition therapy intervention and interdisciplinary care plans.
• Evaluate staff, food, and nutrition services to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Employ evidence-based nutrition methods and behavior change theories to develop comprehensive nutrition programs.
• Deliver educational sessions, seminars, and worksite wellness programs as needed.
• Research, develop, and maintain materials for evidence-based nutrition programs.
• Participate in teleconferences, updates, and working groups related to nutrition education and programming.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
• Registration as a Registered Dietitian from the Commission of Dietetic Registration.
• Three years of experience in wellness, sports nutrition, or nutrition education.
• Board certification as a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics.
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted dietetics license or certification.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States as a U.S. Citizen.

Work Environment:

• The work will be performed at the 377th MDG Medical Treatment Facility located at Kirtland AFB, Albuquerque, NM.
• Shifts will normally be scheduled Monday-Friday, with eight-hour periods between 6:30am and 1730.

Compensation: $31.37-34.85 Hourly Wage
