Place of Performance
The work to be performed under this task order will be at Buckley SFB, CO and Peterson AFB, CO.
Hours of Performance
Monday-Friday, 0730-1630.
Core Duties
Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals. Facilitate the achievement of optimal outcomes in relation to clinical care, quality and cost effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the MTF.
Perform physical exam and health histories.
Provide health promotions, counseling, and education.
Administer medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions.
Direct and supervise care provide by other healthcare professionals.
Accountable for making patient care assignments based on the scope of practice and skill level of assigned personnel.
Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and quickly react in emergency situations.
Communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people for the purpose of informing the healthcare team of plans / actions, for teaching / education to benefit the patient / family and organization.
Make referral appointments and arrange specialty care as appropriate.
Perform nursing services identified in the TO.
Conduct research in support of improved practice and patient outcomes.
Minimum Requirements
Education : Bachelors Degree in Nursing
Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS), Additionally, Certified / certification eligible in relevant specialty, such as Certified Managed Care Nurse through the American Board of Managed Care Nurses; Certification in Health Care Quality and Management (HCQM) through American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians (ABQARP), Certified Informatics Nursing, Ambulatory Care Nursing, Medical-Surgical Nursing or Nursing Case Management through the American Nurses Credentialing Center or Utilization Management Accreditation through National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) are desired.
Experience : One year of experience in nursing as identified in the TO after graduation. A minimum of 36 months total nursing experience in a direct patient care clinical setting. Must have utilization management, utilization review or case management experience for12 recent consecutive months.
Licensure : Current, full active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse as required in the task order.
Legal Authorization to Work in the United States : HCWs performing under this task order shall have proof of U.S. Citizenship (certified copy of birth certificate or naturalization papers required). However, legal aliens who possess a green card or H1B visa, who are in compliance with the U.S. Immigration Laws, and who meet the qualifications required herein may perform under the task order. In addition, the Government shall not be held liable for not allowing performance under this task order by a contractor employee who fails to comply with, or to maintain, the citizenship or legal alien status requirements stated herein.
