JHGS is seeking Occupational Therapists to support the VA St Louis Health Care System. In this role, you will provide services necessary to eligible beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs. The range of occupational therapist services will be provided in a state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facility and in accordance with the standards of The Joint Commission, established principles and ethics of the medical profession established by the American Occupational Therapy
Association (AOTA), and the National Board Certification for Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
Minimum Requirements :
- A current license as an Occupational Therapist in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia when services are performed onsite on VA property.
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
- Occupational Therapists recognized by the American Occupational Therapy, Association and National Board Certification for Occupational Therapy.
- Minimum of 2 years of hospital or ambulatory care experience preferred.
- Ability to develop patient treatment plans and deliver therapy based on VA guidelines.
- Competency in musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiovascular, pulmonary, geriatric, wound care, chronic pain, and adaptive equipment therapy
