Assist in the physical maintenance and oversight of office buildings, parking deck, and common areas of Jackson Healthcare's campus. Responsible for assisting with all engineering, maintenance and repair services customarily required for Class A office buildings, to include responding to general handyman items to address associate workspace and conference space needs; and other duties, as assigned.
The ideal candidate must be capable of working independently while also transitioning seamlessly into a collaborative team environment. They should demonstrate flexibility, adaptability and the ability to pivot when unplanned work arises.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES :
1. Assist with performing assigned work orders, preventative maintenance, and other duties.
- Complete assigned safety training and classes.
- General maintenance tasks include, but are not limited to, the following : lighting repairs; door hardware; locking systems; restroom repairs; plumbing fixtures; window blinds; carpet repair; painting; wall repairs; building signage support; ceiling repairs; exterior repairs and maintaining fountain.
- Work collaboratively with vendor partners who assist in supporting mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
- Adapt and become familiar with planned maintenance schedules through the PM system.
- Create and maintain minimum levels of supply inventory control.
- Learn and understand emergency procedures.
- Ability to work safely and efficiently.
- Utilize proper tools and calibrated instruments required for job responsibilities.
- Utilize CMMS system (Computerized Maintenance Management System) effectively.
- Develop knowledge of each building including, but not limited to, the fire control room, mechanical rooms, emergency generator, roofs, elevator machine rooms, and stairwells.
- Provide engineering support for campus projects.
- Maintain and repair all general maintenance issues related to furniture, fixtures, finishes, appliances, and equipment.
- Assist with ensuring all interior and exterior areas are maintained and presented in a safe, neat, and professional manner.
- Maintain and support ongoing relamping program.
- Promptly review and handle all assigned service requests and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Perform all duties in accordance with OSHA, industry and corporate safety standards including procedures, processes, personal protective equipment, etc.
2. Assist with all assigned tasks related to furniture moves, fixtures, finishes, and equipment.
3. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining professional business relations with associates, vendors, and suppliers.
4. Conduct job duties in accordance with the Corporate Values and Culture.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Demonstrate the desire to learn and develop necessary skills required to maintain a commercial office campus, systems equipment, and structural components.
Education / Certification :
High school graduate or equivalent. Valid driver's license required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
This position is an entry level opportunity to gain experience and develop skills as a General Mechanic.

WORKING CONDITIONS :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
