- - Doing your own taxes will count as experience.

Responsibilities often include:
- Collect relevant financial records, including pay stubs and income statements
- Input data from financial records into tax return software or databases
- Use tax software to determine how much each client will pay or earn on the return
- Use tax software to complete and file tax documents with appropriate agencies, IRS and state government entities
- Building customer relationships to promote and expand the business
