JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: TVS Retail Supervisor
Reports To: TVS Rental Manager
Department: Rental
Classification: Year Round FT
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
GENERAL PURPOSE:
Assist Manager in overseeing operations at applicable shops and satellite locations to achieve excellent guest service, branding, training, and budgetary goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Oversee daily operations of all retail outlets, ensuring procedures and policies are set up and executed to hit high accounting standards.
- Manage labor costs within the store ensuring the store is appropriately staffed during peak times and slow times
- Assist Manager with training, motivating, and evaluating leads and staff.
- Help Manager implement training programs for staff to ensure they are exceeding guest service and operational expectations as well as meeting all safety requirements.
- Monitor inventory reports to ensure accuracy of orders and fulfillment
- Work with RTP department to ensure accuracy of product set-up and procedures
- Work with Information Systems department to ensure all technology needs are met ahead of each season
- Work with Guest Experience department to ensure group business needs are met.
- Assist with oversight of satellite locations as applicable, including but limited to locker rooms, ski/basket checks, pop-up tents, etc.
- Assist with organizing shop inventory before, during, and after the season – collecting variance and tracking down missing items.
- Assist with payroll, commissions, and spiffs
OTHER FUNCTIONS
- Assist with purchasing decisions for upcoming season and sales at the end of the season.
- Work as a retail staff as needed
- Perform other duties as requested by management.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Exceptional people management and leadership skills.
- Proficient computer skills and Microsoft Suite proficiency
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of outdoor ski/snowboard/bike industry.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES:
Direct Reports: up to 4
Total Indirect Reports: up to 50
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates primarily in a retail/rental shop setting. Most work is completed in an indoor environment. Occasional work in an outdoor environment may occur, which may cause exposure to extreme temperatures and varying weather.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time performing repetitive motions with hands to grasp, reach, push, and pull with extensive use of fingers to complete detailed work.
- Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching is required to move inventory around the shop.
- Hearing, speaking, and reading ability to receive detailed information through oral and written communication at elevated speaking level in a loud, busy shop environment.
POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This job is a full time role. It typically works during shop business hours, which can be from early in the morning to later in the evening. Shops are open 7 days per week and the schedule may require work on any day of the week. Schedules and hours may fluctuate depending on business needs.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalency.
- Minimum 2-year college degree or equivalent job-specific training.
- Minimum 1 years previous experience in retail or rental operations.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Previous management experience preferred.
- Previous experience in resort operations preferred.
