What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN-Student Resource Coordinator position at Jackson Hospital and Clinic?

Under the direction of the Director of Nurse Recruitment, the Student Resource Coordinator will provide oversight, mentorship, and management of the resource needs of nursing students and new graduate nurses. Resource needs will be in alignment with the hospital mission, vision, and values and are identified through quality improvement activities, requirements of The Joint Commission (TJC) and other regulatory bodies, requests from staff, and changes made regarding safe healthcare delivery and/or technology. The Student Resource Coordinator will be a key resource in ensuring nursing students are meeting the requirements as set forth by the Alabama Board of Nursing as well as the policies and guidelines of Jackson Hospital.
Requirements:
ASN required, BSN and MSN preferred, 3 years' recent bedside experience and nursing certification preferred; previous education and simulation experience preferred.
Current unrestricted Alabama RN license or multi-state RN license. BLS instructor required for all educators; ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP as required by organizational needs and educator's skillset within 30 days of employment.
