Job Summary

The Certified Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for assisting pharmacists in medication administration, IV infusion preparation, and ensuring the highest standards of pharmaceutical care.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Assist in the administration of medications, including IV infusions and inhalation therapies.
- Maintain proper storage conditions for pharmaceuticals and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Utilize aseptic techniques when compounding sterile products to prevent contamination.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering and restocking medications as needed.
- Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient treatment plans based on medication profiles.
- Document all pharmacy activities accurately in accordance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
Experience
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is required; prior experience in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and pharmacy operations is essential.
- Experience with medication administration techniques, including IV infusion protocols, is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and patient care practices will be beneficial in this role.
