Job Overview
The purpose of this position is to assist the overall operations of the Accounting Department specifically regarding Human Resource, accounts payable, and payroll. Is under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer. Assists with budgets, financial statements, requisitions, monthly accruals, and year-end closeout. Prepares accounts payable checks and direct deposit. Processes payroll and payroll related records. Completes 941 and SUTA tax forms. Assists with monthly tenant accounting close-out. Assists with personnel duties, employee benefits, and serves as a backup for the Receptionist.
Experience
- College/Business school accounting education with five years of experience preferred, or experience may be substituted for education on a year-to-year basis, or any equivalent combination of education, training, or experience which provide the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position. Experience in non-profit (fund) accounting and computers required. Typing and methodical, accurate work ability required. Must be highly organized. If selected, must pass a physical examination by our designated physician.
- Knowledge of office practices, office machines, and ability to use tact, discretion, and courtesy in dealing with residents and visitors.
