Position: Rotomolding operator

Hours: 2nd Shift 2:45 PM- 1:15 am mon- Thur
Wages: $15.40– $17.40 an hour within 12 months.
Shift Premium: 1.50
Overtime: May be required during peak season when approved by the Roto Molding Manager.
Reports to: Roto Molding Shift Supervisor
Expectations:
At Jackson Kayak we are creating something truly exciting. You will have a part in creating adventure for customers. In this role you will be responsible for foaming the coolers with foam gun, and assembly and quality assessing each molded part.
General Responsibilities:
Continuously Strive to keep up with production demands in a safe and effective manner.
Specific Responsibilities:
o Promote and ensure good Health Safety Environment practices are followed
o Ensure customer quality standards are adhered to and related issues are responded to in a timely manner.
o Learns the safety steps and operation of running various roto-molding machines.
o Heavy lifting is required at times (weight can vary from 5 lbs. to 85 lbs.)
o Meet daily production demands while maintaining quality and safety standards.
o Use of various hand tools (screwdrivers, drills, impact guns) and plastic trimming tools.
o Basic material handling, moving material from storage area to area of operation.
o Inspect and record roto molding processes.
o Perform all QC checks and reports to Manager if parameters are not met.
o Trim Molded parts with a variety of tools (utility knives, scrapers, exacto knives, routers, air tools)
o Communicates any variance in process or quality to shift supervisor.
o Inspects all molded items for defects.
o Repair all defects as needed.
o Assembles Orion Coolers and Kennels
§ Operates small hand tools, including but not limited to, drills, wrenches, sockets, hole-saws, small, beveled edges, exacto blades.
§ Assembles small parts on kennels, including door, handles, rope assembly and more.
o Promote and ensure good Health Safety Environment practices are followed.
o Ensures quality standards are met and exceeded.
o Carry 40 80 lbs. to staging racks. with assistance when necessary
o Reports and assists with any machinery malfunctions as necessary.
o Meets or exceeds production requirements.
o Follow all safety guidelines.
o Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
o Adhere to other duties assigned.

- 2- 5 years of assembly or rotomolding experience

Skills and Experience Preferred:
- RotoMolding Experience
- Experiencing utilizing small hand tools, rasps, sharp knives, drills and air routers.
- Assembly experience, experience assembling complex assemblies.
- Manufacturing Experience
- Basic computer skills
