Jackson Lewis P.C. is looking for a full-time Docket Specialist to join our esteemed nationwide docketing team. This position will act as a dedicated docket specialist for assigned office locations. The Docket Specialist will be responsible for reviewing court notices, pleadings, and agency filings, and entering the appropriate deadlines into the Firm's docketing software in a timely manner. The Docket Specialist will also generate and distribute reports and work directly with attorneys to confirm the accuracy of case dockets.
The ideal candidate will have experience in general litigation and must have broad knowledge of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure and NLRB rules and regulations. Candidates will also understand how to research rules and regulations, as necessary, and possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Review all incoming ECF / e-filings, faxes, scanned mail deliveries and emails for the offices within the designated assignment group (multiple offices) and docket same utilizing the CompuLaw Vision software in a manner consistent with court / agency rules and current JL docketing protocols;
- Generate firm-mandated reports both daily and weekly, as well as special reports requested by designated assignment group offices;
- Remain current with developments, procedures and rules in courts and agencies within designated assignment group;
- Apply established case-closing procedures on all matters within designated assignment group as needed;
- Research and respond to inquiries of attorneys, managers, paralegals and assistants within the designated assignment group to successfully manage the docket and calendars;
- Assist as needed and directed in additional projects;
- Manage workload and time efficiently.
Skills and Educational Requirements :
The expected hourly range for this position is as follows : Seattle, WA : $32.1 - 35.70; Sacramento, CA : $30.40 - $33.80; Riverside, CA : $30.40 - $33.80. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
