The Learning & Professional Development (PD) Coordinator supports the firm’s professional development team in the delivery of JL Academy’s professional development courses, special academies, and other career development programs, including event scheduling, learning management system administrator duties, implementation and assessment of internal training programs for attorneys, paralegals and legal professional staff.

The Learning & Professional Development (PD) Coordinator supports the firm’s professional development team in the delivery of JL Academy’s professional development courses, special academies, and other career development programs, including event scheduling, learning management system administrator duties, implementation and assessment of internal training programs for attorneys, paralegals and legal professional staff.
Essential Functions
- Coordinate JL Academy administrative operations, including logistics, learning management system administration, budgeting and metrics reporting.
- Maintain accurate training session records and programming requirements.
- Coordinate and perform administrative tasks in support of JL Academy training programs, including any Special Academies, live classroom training and group webinars, on-demand training opportunities, and compliance programs.
- Support program leaders, faculty, and/or subject matter expert in developing and implementing training programs, ensuring all materials and resources are prepared on-brand and accessible.
- Work closely with the Learning and Professional Development Team and other stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of training programs.
- Coordinate JL Academy internal training program logistics, including helping prepare program faculty and professional development team, helping compile training materials, helping disseminate program information in accordance with rules and regulations where applicable, helping create invitation distribution lists, helping track attendance for pre- and post-training programs, assist with drafting and disseminating program evaluations, and running reports
- Assist with the organization and execution of live in-person training workshops and events.
- Draft, edit, and distribute training invitations, ensuring clarity and engagement.
- Create and distribute JL Academy calendar invitations with appropriate links, session details, faculty, contacts, etc.
- Draft and distribute JL Academy surveys to evaluate training effectiveness.
- Provide coverage for hosting internal JL Academy webinars including MS Teams platforms and other Firm-sponsored audio-visual remote conferencing communication technologies.
- Independently and accurately perform Workday learning management system duties including yet not limited to; creating courses and lessons, mass enrolling, attendance reconciliation, and preparing reports.
- Collaborate with other firm’s Business Services departments, including IT, recruiting, marketing and human resources.
- Explore technical solutions to leverage technology and promote efficiency with team processes.
- Quickly learn and utilize new tools and technologies to enhance training delivery and support firmwide software rollouts.
- Assist in other administrative responsibilities as needed for the Professional Development Team.
- Minimum of two years of related professional development or compliance experience in a law firm or other professional services environment
- Strong proficiency in using databases and Office 365 productivity apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, Teams); proficiency in other technical skills, Canva, EPIC, Smartsheets, SurveyMonkey and other applications a plus
- Experience with learning management systems, Workday preferred
- Experience with eLearning and collaboration tools, including polling software applications such as Poll Everywhere
- Excellent interpersonal, client service, communications (both oral and written), and organizational skills
- Demonstrates attention to detail
- Proactively asks questions to ensure effective program delivery to meet goals
- Establishes and follows needed procedures
- Able to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, manage deadlines and work well under pressure

Salary : $30 - $33
