Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs.
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently at the cash register.
- Provide product demonstrations and share knowledge about promotions and sales.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area while ensuring stock levels are adequate.
- Assist in stocking shelves and organizing merchandise to enhance product visibility.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during their shopping experience.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth operation of the store.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred, particularly in a grocery store environment.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and providing change.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with a diverse customer base.
- A proactive approach to selling products and promoting store specials is highly valued.
- Experience in product demos is beneficial but not required; training will be provided.
