Litigation Paralegal

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Litigation Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of litigation processes. This role involves assisting attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and other legal proceedings, while ensuring compliance with legal standards and deadlines.

Duties

• Conduct thorough legal research using platforms such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw to support case preparation.
• Draft, review, and proofread legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
• Manage case files and documentation through effective document management systems.
• Assist in the preparation of trial exhibits and witness lists.
• Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather necessary information for cases.
• Maintain an organized calendar of deadlines and court dates to ensure timely submissions.
• Support attorneys in case strategy development through project management skills.

Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal in a litigation setting is preferred.
• Proficiency in legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw is helpful.
• Familiarity with document management systems to streamline case organization.
• Strong proofreading skills to ensure accuracy in all legal documents.
• Previous experience in family law or estate planning is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal are required.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
