Police Officer, Town of Jackson
Full Time: 43 Hrs a week, nights, weekends
Job Duties
Patrols municipally, responds to calls for service relayed by dispatch, prepares detailed written incident and investigation reports, enforces state and municipal laws, conducts traffic enforcement, and investigates traffic collisions, attends and testifies in court. Must be able to resolve complex and violent incidents in a tactful and lawful manner. Must possess truthfulness and courage. Must follow all lawful orders of a supervisor. Must comply with all polices of the Jackson Police Department. Conducts all required training for the acquisition and / or maintenance of certification from the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED and a minimum of 21 years old at the time of application. Must be willing to submit to background investigation, phycological screening, medical screening, drug screening and multiple interviews. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and have the physical ability to perform essential job functions.
