Patient Advocacy

Job Responsibilities
- Administers medications and conducts clinical treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluates learning needs of patients and their families, providing education on self-care, medication management, and coping strategies.
- Completes thorough physical and mental health assessments, identifying potential risks and developing targeted interventions.
- Works collaboratively with patients' families to empower them in managing their loved one's mental illness.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of an Associate's degree in Nursing is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Kentucky.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
- Handle With Care (HWC) certification within 45 days of hire.
