What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Coach position at Jackson Rockabillys?
The Jackson Rockabillys are a Prospect League team established in 2023 in Jackson, TN. The Prospect League is a summer collegiate league with 18 teams across seven states. 2025 marks the third season for the Rockabillys. We will play a 58 game season (two exhibition games) from May 28th to July 31st.
The Rockabillys play in a former AA stadium that lost minor league baseball in 2020 after the downsizing from major league baseball. Jackson is home to an amazing facility and a city that loves and supports baseball.
Assist in coaching a high-level summer collegiate team in the 18-team Prospect League. Manager and Pitching coach are in place. This position is for a third coach to perform the following ( but not limited to): coach 1st base, throw daily BP, daily work-outs, work with position players, hit fungo, the normal coaching duties. Previous coaching at the collegiate level required ( can be as a grad asst.)... Dorm Single Room housing provided, including all meals at local D2 school.
Time commitment woud be May 20- July 31 ( potentially to Aug. 8, if playoffs are made)
$3000.00 salary for the season
