What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jackson Rockabillys Summer 2025 Internships position at Jackson Rockabillys?
The Jackson Rockabillys are a summer a Prospect League summer collegiate baseball team located in Jackson, TN. We are entering our third season in the Prospect League and are looking for highly motivated individuals to join our intern team for the 2025 season. We are offering several internships in specific areas, but you will be exposed to many different aspects of the summer baseball and stadium operations. We are excited to welcome a new class of interns to work with us!
Interns would need to report in early to mid-May with a finish date following the Prospect League Season. Regular Season home games will be over by the end July, however potential playoffs and special events may be held in early to mid- August. The starting date is flexible depending on the applicant’s school schedule.

Promotions and Marketing Intern
This is an unpaid internship with an end of season $500.00 stipend for completion of the seasonal internships. Applicants should pursue college credit from their college or university. We will offer internships for Food & Beverage/Hospitatility, Promotions/Marketing, Ticket Management, Media Team. Please read below for all opportunities and details.
We will be filling intern positions in a variety of positions such as:
Promotions and Marketing Intern
- Develop social media plan and create content for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Tik Tok pages.
- Assist with managing the team’s social media accounts (Facebook, X, Instagram)
- Establish creative direction for team within brand guidelines
- Create and design various materials for video board, digital content and print
- Create a run-of-show for each home game, compiling the PA reads and on-field activities that will occur pre-game as well as in between each half inning during the games.
- Assist in scheduling, preparing and executing pre and post-game promotions
- Interacting with fans and finding contestants for on-field promotions
- Assist in planning theme nights as well as participating in theme nights as needed (costumes, décor, giveaways, etc.)
- Coordinate player and mascot appearances during the season for off-site appearances
Ticket Management Intern
- Assist sales staff in fulfillment of ticket orders
- Conduct prospecting research and data gathering to help grow group outings and groups picnics
- Create and organize list of potential future season ticket and group ticket purchasers
- Assist with tracking analysis and reporting
- Process all walk-up ticket sales
- Cold-calling potential groups and season ticket buyers
- Work with team liaison to collect the Rockabillys pass list and visiting team pass list
- Nightly reconciliation of ticket vouchers and gift certificates redeemed
- Prepare all online merchandise orders for shipment
- Assist in retail preparations such as product placement, sidewalk sales, social media content, and inventory
- Create daily social media post for one merchandise item in the Jukebox
- Assist customers in purchasing tickets over the phone and in-person
- Serve as coordinator for group and corporate outings
- Learn the TicketSmarter platform, ticket scanner information, compile gameday reports following each home event.
- Other duties as assigned
Media Team/Wireless Camera Operator Intern
Camera for footage around the ballpark crowd shots for the TV broadcast of the game.
Between Innings, coordinate with the TV producer and the Broadcast/Video Board liaison for live video feed on the Video Board. On field with other Rockabilly staff to show close-up action of scheduled events. This intern will wear a communication headset to communicate. This intern should have an idea of what a “great shot” looks like and be very mobile and able to climb steps during the entire game.

Food and Beverage/Hospitality Intern
- Assist in all duties to perform a successful food and beverage program throughout the stadium
- Assist in game day inventory and reconciliations
- Nightly greeting and introduction to all suite holders at the ballpark
- Daily inventory count of upstairs catering kitchen items
- Assist in Food and Beverage deliveries
- Assist in corporate suite management and game day suite prep
- Assist F&B manager in managing suite workers
- Coordinate Player Meals at end of game
- Other duties as assigned

- Ability to multi-task and follow instructions from multiple supervisors
- Able to work long hours
- Participate in other areas of game day operations when needed
