Title: Secretary
Job Summary
The overall purpose of this job is to assist with the operation of the Physical Plant and provide clerical services to the Director of the Physical Plant and other duties as assigned for the efficient operation of the Physical Plant.
Job Duties
Process, review, and verify invoices and route to accounts payable.
Develop purchase requisitions and process check requests for all items purchased by the Physical Plant to repair or replace equipment, materials, and supplies for use in building and grounds maintenance as well as for in-house construction activities.
Assist in preparing budget amendments for departmental expenditures and allocations.
Order custodial, grounds, and maintenance supplies
Oversee transportation needs and request.
Obtain, gather, and organize pertinent data as needed and put in into a usable form for special reports
Provides clerical support for Physical Plant including place, answer, screen and directs telephone calls and takes messages when required
Monitor all accounts to ensure sufficient funding availability.
Minimum Qualifications
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Prolonged periods of standing at times
Prolonged screen time
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
Repetitive Movement
Pay Rate: $31,677- $38,011 (Annual salary depending on eligible experience, which is defined by the current compensation plan.)

Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree
- 3 years of administrative professional experience
- Experience in Higher Ed
- Must be able to operate a computer and use of various software programs for word processing, database, and spreadsheets.
- Must have a sound knowledge and ability in English business correspondence, and an ability to proofread the work of self and others with high degree of accuracy.
- Must be able to do basic accounting and mathematical computations with high accuracy.
- Must possess effective customer service skills.
- Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the staff and public.
